  1. The votes are coming in, here's some of the feedback:

“The most incredible chef in St. Louis hands down is Ivy over at the French restaurant Vin De Set The balsamic reduction on the quinoa was very, very tasty and my favorite. Our other favorites include the three onion soup and the ahi tuna (rare), which we love.” Christine in Kirkwood

“The hubby took me this last December to Chase Park Plaza Bistro we both agree Chef Hale made the most incredible food we’d ever wrapped our tongues around. He ordered Pistachio Encrusted Lamb Chops and I had the Filet with Dungeness Crab and asparagus. I wish I could get my food to taste like that. Two votes from us.” Lynette, St. Louis

“Chef Ripert at Le Bernardin. Love the DOVER SOLE – wowsers, this dish was incredible. The Basmati Brown-Butter sauce was to die for, I could have licked my plate but my sister gave me the ‘stink eye’ this chef Eric Ripert creates magic in your mouth”. Melanie, New York

Keep the votes and comments coming.

  2. I have business meetings in Vegas once a month and my must stop at restaurant is Dal Toro inside the Palazzo. My first trip the food was so unbelievable I asked to meet the chef. Chef Abel was cooking this evening, a true Italian down to the accent. The pasta seafood has a light sauce that won't weigh you down.
I even took the hubby back on a weekend getaway so he could check out their exotic car showroom.

  3. We had a huge get together at STK in Las Vegas, it's actually inside the Cosmo. Wow this place is incredible. Chef Romo came out personally to check on our dishes. Of course we had to have steak...they were huge and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was rocking upbeat Vegas all the way.

  4. The first time we went to KISS in San Francisco (sushi) we ordered plates of sashimi and nigiri (all chef's choice) and we were absolutely floored.
The chefs are a husband and wife and their restaurant is so tiny seats about 12, but just enough for the 2 of them to handle. These 2 do it all and definitely should be considered with all the rave reviews they get.

  5. Hey Valley Of The Kings, I saw you blog link on facebook.
Went to French Restaurant Vin De Set the other evening. It is a very pleasant, relaxed evening....
Chef Ivy was phenomenal and the staff at Vin De Set were great. Even though it is an upstairs location well worth the short elevator ride for the amazing food. ;)Great Getaway location with the rooftop view of the arch.

“ You’ve got to have the barbecued shrimp and grits appetizer at Scape Restaurant. It’s so good Chef Eric has my vote”

  7. The Italian Chef Abel at Dal Toro really knows his stuff. If you're in Vegas and wondering about the best meal, make this a stop. Plus they have an amazing outdoor patio across from TI you can watch the show and have a cocktail. (The waitresses are cute also)

Saltgrass Steakhouse in Laughlin. I had seared tuna and the crab cakes. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! The crab cakes without a doubt are the best I've ever put in my mouth! It was served in a heavenly cream sauce and topped with a perfect salsa giving it just enough heat

  13. Wow lots of great Chefs being nominated. We love hearing how the chefs are making your experience personal as well with a trip to your table.
We have lots more nominations coming through the Cooking Is Sexy e-mail. Here's a few to add to the masters already nominated above:

    Chef Jaime Hernandez at Juban’s
You have got to try their 2 birds plate, a duck breast covered in a spicy jelly sauce on one side and on the other a quail stuffed with pumpkin and crawfish with brown gravy. Flipping Incredible is all I can say!
    -Sussie

Chef Vadivel at Chakra Beverly Hills
This was Michael Jackson’s favorite restaurant and I can see why, Chef Vadivel is the king of Curry. It’s ALL good but I love their lamb chops.
    -Joseph, Santa Monica

Chef Ian Williams at Verandas Bistro, Florida
Ian Williams makes the most incredible Lobster Bisque to tantalize my taste buds. You must try their oysters, they are gently fried in corn meal then distributed in a bowl in which the bottom has been lined with a Horsehradish-dejon cream sauce. Just plain scrumptious.
    -Dillon, Georgia

    Tracy Des Jardins of Jardiniers
The Five Dot Ranch New York Steak with Bordelaise sauce will melt in your mouth.

The Chef's at The Blue Owl at Zen Yai.
They give a spicy thai twist to the average dish creating an astounding new flavor that wakes up your mouth. The tri-tip sandwich is slathered with rich oyster chili mayo. YYUUMMM.

  15. Chef Josée of Leméac Montreal
The food is great but "Pain perdu" desert is huuugggee and just melts in your mouth.

  16. I came into Chase Park Plaza from my business function last Fall, very exhausted from a barrage of meetings (the service was great, the atmosphere professional and we got a chance to say hello to Chef Hale) He made the evening a lot less stressful.

Erica, Central West End: “Chef Eric makes the most incredible Macadamia Nut Crusted Chicken with Papaya Marmalade, and Sho Yu Cream Sauce at Scape in St. Louis”

Amy Scott owner and Exec Chef at Tupelo Junction Café.

the Dungeness Crab Cake & Potato Hash w/Avocado Salsa, Poached Eggs & Lemon Butter Sauce is the yummiest thing to ever tease my taste buds!!!
    Debbie-Santa Barbara Food Junkie

“It’s been a while since I ate The Chase but Chef Hale made the most incredible lobster cioppino, not sure if it’s still on their menu but I nominate Chef Hale hands down.” Carla, St. Peters

Qing Hua Dumpling in Montreal, QC
Go for the dumplings, who knew they could be so mouthwatering. And a restaurant devoted to dumplings, original indeed.
    Melissa, Detroit

    Chima Brazilian Steakhouse, VA
Chef Maradona Lima ~ All you can eat meat dinners, kids loved eating off the skewers they called ‘swords’. Great experience

Chef Shawn Gawle of Corton, soon to be of Saison! Because he's super sexy.
    -Kimmie
